You know that shit is getting real in Yishun when people have to start building walls to keep one another out.
In this case, the owners had no choice but to keep their Singaporean neighbour away because she was causing too much harassment and inconvenience to them.
And let’s just say that no one can ever top the kind of inconvenience that she is causing – or has caused over the past 2 years.
Sanitary pads, toilet paper and even urine were splashed along their corridors
Throughout the past 2 years, it has been one hell of an experience living with the elderly neighbour for the two households at Yishun BLK 112. Other than toilet paper, sanitary pads, oil and the occasional urine, dark sauce were also spotted right outside the corridor – sounds plain disgusting, huh?
Since efforts such as contacting the police and placing surveillance cameras have not been working, neighbors had no choice but to manually build a wall to keep the elderly out.
At first, the impromptu wall was built with just wooden planks, pipes, and chairs.
However, more drastic measures had to be taken.
Then, as the situation got worse, they had to improvise further and build a more ‘professional’ looking wall and by adding their secret ingredient – Durian Husks.
However, after a while, the Durian husks were starting to smell. The 61-year-old elderly man who built the ‘wall’ then had to replace the Durian husks with cacti.
And if you were wondering if these efforts did work, well, they sort of did. Now, the neighbour can only throw rubbish and liquids at them from a distance – which doesn’t exactly solve the problem on handtoo.
Word of advice?
I mean, if she can go to such drastic measures to collect sanitary pads and urine to throw at your corridors, she must really hate you guys a lot. Plus, no amount of walls will keep her away because as long as there’s an inch of slot for her to throw something at you, she still will.
The only way to handle such situations and people like her is to turn her into the police. I mean, that’s what a CCTV footage is for, right? At least now you’ve evidence against her.
Sometimes, rather than building walls to keep people out, it’s better to just find a way to contain them within the walls. #justsaying.
