Woman Pulls Down Male Colleagueโ€™s Underwear in Restaurant Kitchen, Fined S$2,500 by South Korean Court

A South Korean court has fined a woman for pulling down a male colleagueโ€™s trousers and underwear.

Court Issues Fine and Education Order Over Sexual Humiliation Case

The Chuncheon District Court ordered a woman in her 50s to pay a fine of 2.8 million won, or about S$2,500, on 7 June 2025. She was also ordered to complete eight hours of sexual violence prevention education.

The incident took place on 3 October 2024 in the kitchen of a restaurant in Wonju, Gangwon Province. The woman pulled down both the trousers and underwear of a male colleague in his 20s in front of other coworkers.

Prosecutors said the act caused sexual humiliation. The woman was charged with committing an indecent act by compulsion.

The court noted that the woman had no prior criminal record. She expressed remorse and apologised while kneeling before the victim and his parents.

The judge dismissed her claim that she intended it as a joke.

Other Pantsing Cases in South Korea Have Drawn Public Attention

Pantsing has previously led to serious consequences in South Korea. Although the act is sometimes seen in entertainment programmes, authorities have taken disciplinary and legal action in real-life cases.
