SPF Finds ‘SG Nasi Lemak’ Administrators; Four Men Aged 17-37YO To Be Charged In Court
The hunt was on when various media sites picked up and outed the existence of the SG Nasi Lemak Telegram group.
For the unacquainted, it’s A Telegram group chat, called ‘SG Nasi Lemak’, which was recently discovered to be used by Singaporeans to spread photos of unsuspecting women.
Even though it has been closed after many people reported it for having pornographic content, it had over 44,000 active members in it, which is an insanely high number.
According to chats within, the group even had up to 46,000 members at its peak. It was primarily used to circulate lewd content, sell vape devices and juices, sexual services, and sexual enhancement drugs.
Yuck, yuck and yuck.
Police Announced That Four Suspects Have Been Arrested
According to Channel News Asia, a news release by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) on 15 October announced that four people have been arrested for their alleged involvement.
According to SPF, the suspects who are aged between 17 and 37, have been arrested for their “suspected involvement in circulating obscene materials and promoting vice activities” through the group.

“Through investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identities of the men and arrested them at various locations islandwide on Oct 14, 2019.”
Administrators Of The SG Nasi Lemak Group Were A 26YO & 37YO Man
After thorough investigation, the police uncovered that a 26-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were the administrators of the chat group.
However, it takes a team effort to run such as group, evidently:
A 17-year-old and 19-year-old allegedly distributed the obscene materials.
More than 10 electronic devices including a central processing unit, a laptop, a hard disk and several mobile phones were confiscated.

Moral Of The Story
These alleged offenders will be charged in court on Tuesday with conspiracy to commit distributions of obscene materials.
Their potential punishment? They could be jailed for up to three months, fined, or both.
The police also said: “Members of the public are advised to stop soliciting in any lewd website or joining such online platforms and illicit chat groups”.
They also mentioned that they take “a serious view” of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement actions against those breaking the law.
