When making a movie, directors, actors, and members of the film crew go through months and sometimes years of gruelling work.
Long hours are spent reworking the script and scenes, editing, and then marketing, all this after they’ve poured hundreds of millions of dollars into a project that they hope will bring it profits once it airs.
And once it’s released, we Google it to check its ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and go “meh” when it’s not high enough and look for something else to watch.
With an abundance of choice, viewers certainly don’t want to waste their time with subpar movies. And why should they?
Fortunately for the makers of the latest Spider-man movie, their blockbuster has got the approval of both audiences and critics.
Spider-Man: No Way Home Has Been Getting Rave Reviews With Extremely High Ratings, Too
As you know, a lot of movies over the years have been hyped to death, only to disappoint us. But Spider-Man: No Way Home seems like it’s living up to its hype, as it’s received rave reviews from critics.
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a Certified Fresh rating of 95% on its Tomatometer, with James Berardinelli, a top critic from ReelViews saying:
“As superhero movies go, this one offers its share of satisfying moments and is guaranteed to warm the heart of any Spider-Man movie fan, regardless of when their fandom started.”
Audiences liked it even more, with Rotten Tomatoes listing a 99% Audience Score based on over 2,500 verified ratings.
The Internet Movie Database, or IMDb, gave it an extremely high rating of 9.2 (for comparison’s sake, The Dark Knight got a 9).
Does it Feature Previous Spider-Men? (Spoilers Ahead)
Ever since Marvel announced the movie and dropped a teaser trailer, fans have been speculating that the actors from previous Spider-Man movies—Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire—could reprise their roles in No Way Home.
So, do they?
Leave now if you’re planning to watch the movie and want to avoid any spoilers.
The simple answer is yes, yes they do.
I’ll leave it that, as any elaboration would give the entire plot away, but here’s the synopsis for the movie to whet your appetite:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighbourhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be a Spider-Man.”
Tom Holland and Zendaya will reprise their roles in the movie, and will be joined by Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
