We might not be extraordinary singers like Jay Chou or JJ Lin, but there’s no denying that Singaporeans love our KTVs.

I mean, every single time Manekineko has a $10 per pax promo? You’ll see groups with different singing abilities start to make plans to go for a three-hour extravaganza.

Which is why, when we heard about this new KTV (okay, semi-new since they’ve been around for months), we knew we had to share it with you guys.

If you’ve never heard of them, I don’t blame you, because it’s pretty new.

But K.STAR has a secret weapon up its sleeves: their themed rooms.

When you want to sing well, one important factor in your performance is where you’re singing at.

Just look at some of the cute rooms they have available for you to sing in.

A Line Friends themed room.

A coffee bar perfect for some bluesy jazz.

And even a barbershop if you want to let your hair loose.

They have 25 of such themed rooms, with themes ranging from cute to vintage and everything else in between.

The first thing you’re going to see is K.STAR’s location: it’s in Orchard Central.

So you’re probably thinking, too atas for me liao. Surprise, surprise, it isn’t.

In fact, their happy hour promotion lets you sing at $9++ per pax, and even singing during peak hour will only cost you $13 per pax.

That’s for 3 hours of singing, by the way.

Just to prove that we’re not pulling the figures out of thin air, here’s how K.STAR charges for their room.

They have several rooms available:

Premium Room (Max 10 Pax)
Deluxe Room (Max 15 Pax)

And they charge by the room.

So, for example, if you are a group of six and you decide to want to sing on Wednesday at 2 pm for three hours:

($18*3) / 6 = 9

So the cost will come out to be $9++ per pax.
