GOTTA CATCH ‘EM ALL

Be it the TV series or the original video games themselves, Pokemon has been a large part of our childhoods and companies can’t stop capitalising off it.

Well, we know what they’re doing. We just don’t care.

Anything to feed our nostalgia, right?

The latest one about to hit us is the Pokemon Masters mobile game developed by DeNA.

If you find the studio’s name familiar, they also developed Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, and other Nintendo-based games.

In other words, they’ve been leveraging off our nostalgia for a while now. But hey, we ain’t complaining.

So what’s Pokemon Masters about?

It’s a battle strategy game set in a new region “Pasio” where you will have one partner Pokemon and team up with other trainers to battle in 3v3 matches, as well as meeting trainers from all the previous Pokemon games in an ambitious crossover.

While it is free-to-play, they’ll include micro-transactions if you wanna whale out.

For more information, check out their website here.

If you can’t wait for this game, the pre-registration is already open in the App Store and Google Play.

While the website has been vague about the exact release date, it’s revealed to be 29 August on the App Store.

Yet another reason to get iPhone over Android.

Just kidding.

In fact, the next piece of news should make Android users very happy.

Certain countries will be obtaining a preview version of the game early.

If you’re an Android user, lucky you! Be sure to tell us how the game is like in detailed reviews.

If you’re an iPhone user like me, let’s just pre-register and wait. And maybe stick to Pokemon GO in the meantime.
