Do you know when it’s time to acknowledge online marketplaces as the norm instead of something new?
When different online marketplaces start having different characteristics to you.
For example, Lazada would probably be a shopping mall, Amazon as Paragon and EZ-Buy as your neighbourhood minimart.
As for Carousell?
They’re like the marketplace in Star Wars where Anakin Skywalker was found.
Filled with colourful (sometimes, weird) characters with all sorts of different wares.
Sometimes, you meet nice sellers on Carousell.
And sometimes, you don’t, like this lady.
Stove for $40
On 28 March, Singapore lady Rohaishah Hamid took to Facebook to highlight about her experience on Carousell.
She was looking for a stove when she came across this listing that looks not too bad.
So things were going fine until suddenly, the seller’s eyes started veering off course from her messages to her profile picture.
Now, at this time, most buyers would’ve been weirded out and block him.
But she did not.
When the man complimented her on her appearance, her immediate reaction was to ask for a discount.
Which he agreed, provided she give him peektures. Kinda like GPGT.

MasterChef Singapore Applicant
After several uncomfortable questions like do you have a bf? How old are you?
And, of course, can I have your number? She decided to bring the chat back on track.
My dad once told me, if you really want to get the girl, you need to know persistence.
I’ve always thought that he doesn’t really know what he’s talking about since he got together with my mom, but hey, apparently other people subscribe to that philosophy.

After such an obvious troll, the man decided to try and get the girl to meet up with him.
But since she was unwilling, he decided that even a photo could suffice to quench his love-at-first-sight.
You know, just to put a face to a girl he’s pining over.
Or apparently, boobs work too.

To which the lady gave her finishing move:
B?! Me B?! B my ass!
Needless to say, she didn’t get her stove in the end.

Netizens Response
With such a brilliant troll, you can expect her Facebook post to go viral. And it did.
After all, such beautiful trolling deserves a standing ovation.
While others listed down their favourite parts.
Some decide to stalk the seller to see if any drama’s going to start.

But the most important question of the day:
Nope, she’s not.
