What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when I say ‘teacher’ or ‘lecturer’?

For me, it would be the memory of someone whooping my behind for not behaving in class or doing my homework.

Whatever it may be, there’s no doubt that when teachers do something, it’s usually for our good. To educate us.

What they shouldn’t be doing is taking advantage of their position for indecent acts.

Upskirt Videos

First, it was an NUS student. Now it’s a teacher.

People really need to purify their minds.

According to Mothership, a 39-year-old post-secondary lecturer was in court on 28 November.

For what?

He allegedly took upskirt videos of a woman in his classroom.

My reactions are exactly like that gif above. Why?

Channel News Asia said that the man took the upskirt video of the female victim at 11.50am on 6 March this year.

He even did it in his own classroom!

In what universe did the guy think he wouldn’t be caught in the act and in his own classroom?

I can only imagine how silly it was if other students were inside.

The identities of the man, the victim and any information that might identify them are under a court-ordered gag.

Taken To Court

No one can escape the consequences of their crimes.

Naturally, the man was let go and is no longer teaching at the said institution.

Rightfully so.

He faces one charge of outrage of modesty and had returned to court after first being charged on 7 November.

He was later offered bail of $2,000 and is set to return on 26 December.

We’re all up in our post-Christmas gatherings and eating servings of turkey but this guy gets a serving of court time.

If found guilty of insulting the modesty of a woman, he could be jailed for up to a year, fined or both.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a student or a lecturer. If you subject others to sexual harassment then be prepared to face the music.

Keep your hands and eyes to yourself, readers.
