Pranks are like sports, only the winner comes out happy.
I’ve never really been one to pull the prank but I’ve been an unwitting victim of a few during my school years.
Cue flashbacks of losing three days worth of homework, only to realise my classmate took it and submitted it without telling me.
No, I’m not salty about it.
But how far is it before a prank becomes too much?
At the very least, you know you screwed up when the police get involved.
Filter Failure
Another thing to note, don’t prank your parents.
Twitter user @champgneqissy, or Quincy, first texted her mother to inform her of a dog outside their house.
As you can see from the image, there wasn’t actually a dog there but an edit made with a dog filter.
So it wasn’t really a surprise when her mom warned to shut the doors and not let the ‘dog’ inside.
Quincy’s reply? To prank her mom further by saying that the dog entered the house while sending the picture.
Her mom, like any normal person, was obviously freaking out at this point.
While Quincy was probably laughing at home, her mom decided to call the police to go to their house.
Well, that went from zero to a hundred really quickly.
Lowkey wondering why SPCA wasn’t called instead but I guess the cops were a safe bet.
Realising she screwed up, Quincy tried to tell her mother to cancel the police report but it was far too late.
Understandably, the latter was pretty upset that her daughter would do shenanigans like that.
Knocking On A Pranksters Door
Quincy’s fear turned out for the worst.
The police came moments later and started to question her about the phantom dog.
We can only imagine how pissed off they must’ve been about an empty report.
After they left, Quincy posted a final update, indicating the potential whooping of a lifetime from her mother.
Readers, sincere advice to all of you to know when not to take a joke too far.
When you have to get someone worried about your life and call the cops, it’s probably a good indication not to do it.
If you still choose to carry on well…you might end up in Quincy’s situation here: Talk sh*t? Get hit (when mom comes home).
