Recently, the air-conditioners in my office and home are my heater.
Like, seriously.
The temperature outdoors seemed to be lower, especially when it’s raining. And it’s always raining.
And so, when the Meteorological Service Singapore posted their fortnightly update, I’m not surprised to know that Singapore has officially entered its once-in-a-blue-moon winter season.
Super Wet Month
If you come to our app daily, you’d have come across this article. Basically, AccuWeather, an international platform that provides worldwide weather forecast, predicted that it’ll rain every day for the rest of 2019. And given that the platform is established since 1962 and our phones also retrieve weather data from them, it’s a very reliable source.
And now, the MSS, which focuses just on Singapore, has kind of confirmed that.
Now, before you go, “Eh, wait, why ‘kind of’? Weather forecast can be different one meh?”, hold your horses.
Well, yes. It’s not called “forecast” for no reason, my friend.
In fact, the accuracy is usually agak agak about 80% correct only.
But anyways.
Instead of daily rain, though, MSS predicted eight to ten days of thundery showers in the next two weeks, usually in the afternoon. On some days, it might extend into the evening.
Whichever you choose to believe, it’s a fact that it’s going to be rainy, for MSS has forecasted that the rainfall for this month’s going to be above average.

Temperatures to be at 23°C on Certain Days
Prepare your winter wear, because while daily temperature’s going to be between 24°C and 33°C on most days, it can reach 23°C on certain days.
Lest you’ve forgotten, the last “winter” we’ve had was just back in early 2018, when temperature dropped to 21°C.
And here’s a fun fact: in the history of Singapore, the lowest temperature we’ve hit was 19°C. It occurred back in 1989 at Paya Lebar.
This wet and cold season might persist until February, so it’s not going to be merely a cold Christmas, but probably a cold Chinese New Year, too.
