Domestic helpers are a blessing to those who need one.
In our busy, every day of rushing around multiple appointments, having a maid can be a massive asset to your life.
Low key reminder to go thank your maids if you have one.

Not to mention that these maids are so far away from home and probably miss their families. This likely makes their jobs even harder.
So please, treat them like you would a normal person.
Authority Abuse
Because you definitely wouldn’t want the same to be done to you.
According to TODAYonline, Jenny Chan Yun Hui, 42, was sentenced in a district court to one year and three months jail.
She pleaded guilty to three cases of causing hurt and grievous hurt to Ms Rasi, 27, her Indonesian domestic helper.
She even had four other accounts taken to consideration.
For more than two months in 2016, Chan apparently beat her so bad that she broke Ms Rafi’s nose!
This lady clearly has some anger issues.

The poor maid even got punched in the eyes so bad they got swollen and she couldn’t see from her left side for about 30 minutes.
I’m kind of glad that her employer is getting the big J.
Reasons For Actions
Apparently, there have been some attempts to justify Ms Chan’s actions.
Two psychiatrists agreed that Chan’s major depressive disorder contributed to her offences. Yet, the district judge added saying that this was not an excuse for her behaviour.
Spit that hot truth, judge.

Ms Chan is honestly lucky since her sentence could have gone up to 15 years of jail and fined.
Timeline Of Abuse
Some of you at this point might be wondering, “What else did she do to Ms Rasi?”
I’m going to hate to say some of the things here.
After being employed in February 2016, Ms Chan made life for her maid rather difficult.
Like, waking up at 6 am every day and being monitored by multiple CCTV cameras.

This resulted in Ms Rasi getting little rest and sometimes saw her falling asleep on the job.
Once, Ms Rasi was meant to clean the kitchen and prepare food in the morning, but Chan grew upset at her for not finishing her chores.
The latter then proceeded to punch her in the eye, what the heck?
She even once hit her head with a plastic bowl and caused Ms Rasi’s head to bleed!
The maid wasn’t even taken to a doctor after and only had the blood wiped and medical oil applied.
It comes as no surprise that she decided to run away one day after cleaning the toilets.

She was unfortunately caught by Chan, who dragged her by the hair and forced her to clean after she stated she wanted to leave for good.
Too Much For One Sub-Section
There really is way too much abuse imaginable even by me.
Chan then threatened to call the police on Ms Rasi if she ran away.
On another occasion, Chan pinched the helper’s ears with her fingernails, causing them to bleed.
She also punched Ms Rasi’s eyes multiple times, before placing cotton wool on the maid’s swollen left eye and applying medicated oil on her ears.

Luckily, all of this turned around for the maid on 16 June 2016 when she took a taxi down to the Indonesian embassy for help.
She then took her belongings and loved the accursed household. God bless her.
Chan is due to start her sentence on 3 December this year.
Friends, I hope this long article could teach you something about respect.
It doesn’t matter if you’re the employer or the employee, everyone deserves to be treated with respect and no one deserves abuse.
I hope Ms Rasi can eventually heal from all this trauma and that Chan will have a long time to reflect on this.
