Motorcycles are the new Lamborghinis. Except they’re way, way cheaper.
I mean, look at the couple who arrived at their wedding in style.
The couple, who met at a motorcycle workshop, decided to arrive at their wedding in a huge motorcycle convoy.
And we thought nobody’s going to top that.
But someone did.
Singaporean Man Plans Epic Motorcycle Proposal to GF
Meet Jackson Chan.
He and his girlfriend of nine years applied for a BTO flat in August last year. They first met when he gave a ride to her when she was working at his friend’s company.
Jackson felt that a proposal is something that he has to give to his girlfriend.
So drawing inspiration from the famous bike-riding scene at the end of Andy Lau’s Moment of Romance, he decided to plan an epic proposal for his girlfriend.
Half a year of hard work
It took him half a year to plan out the proposal properly with the help of his friends in Hong Kong.
He had been riding with a group of motorcycle enthusiasts since 2012.
And every year on the 3rd day of the lunar new year, the group will tour Hong Kong’s countryside, taking the chance to mingle and show off their new bikes.
He had to travel to Hong Kong to organise the riding tour, which included over 80 classic motorcycles.
His friends chipped in to source and loan two classic motorcycles to him for the occasion too.
He rode a rare Yamaha RD500 while his girlfriend rode a Yamaha R1Z250.
D-Day
The day of the proposal arrives, and the group went on their tour as usual.
Until they stopped at a car park in Clear Water Bay.
In front of 140 friends and loads of motorcycles, he rode up to his girlfriend and gave her a beautiful bouquet of flower.
Before going onto his knee and proposing to her.
The girlfriend (happily) said yes.
And sealed the deal with a sweet kiss in front of happy onlookers.
Aww.
The couple plan to get married in a year or two.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple and we wish them a happy and blissful marriage!
And, of course, we had to say this on behalf of all the Singaporean guys out there: spoil market sia.
