It’s going to be that time of the year again – Singapore’s very own National Day.
And today (23 May 2019), be prepared to see Singaporeans frantically applying for tickets to the 2019 National Day Parade (NDP) once the application portal opens.
Just in case it’s “first come first served”.
If you are one of those Singaporeans who’s too lazy to get into fastest fingers battles, don’t worry.
Because tickets are only available for balloting (i.e. based on luck).
So you won’t get one even if you’re as fast as Usain Bolt.
How?
Interested in attending one of the most anticipated and grandest shows Singapore can put up?
Head over to the official NDP website or any SAM/AXS stations to indicate your interest this coming Thursday.
Singapore citizens and permanent residents are entitled to apply for two, four or six tickets to the two preview shows (27 Jul and 3 Aug) or the actual show on 9 Aug. With each individual entitled to one application and priority given to those who were not allocated tickets last year, it’s a fair game.
Parents, please take note that your infants and children all require a valid ticket each, regardless of height, age and weight.
Do not attempt to sneak them in.
For cats, it’ll be free entrance for all.
When Will You Know?
The lucky ones will be notified on 24 Jun through the email address they provide in the application. So please check your inboxes, folks!
Tickets are only in physical forms, it is highly advisable to collect your tickets ASAP lest you forget about it. Or worst, you miss the collection dates.
And, touch wood, if you do forget about them, it’s best to keep it a secret or endure the wrath of the unlucky ones. Seriously, a quick search on the Internet and you can see many furiously expressing their disappointment in not getting tickets or foreigners actually getting tickets.
Despite Singaporeans’ complaints about anything and everything regarding the parade, they are at least excited for one single event of the whole show – the absolutely stunning fireworks.
Collection Details
So, once you receive the good news that you have successfully being allocated tickets, collect them from 5 to 7 Jul and 12 to 14 Jul, between 10 am and 9 pm, at Raffles City Level 3 Atrium.
And I think I don’t need to remind you this: don’t even think about selling your tickets. Pretty sure it won’t work now.
