When you have children or teenagers under your charge, it’s your duty to ensure that no harm comes to them.
This is especially the case if you’re dealing with young children, such as students in primary school, as they can easily be taken advantage of due to their naivety.
Sadly, it is sometimes the adults looking after these students who exploit their authority and abuse the students for their own gratification.

And that’s exactly what a sports coach did to two young teenage girls.
Sports Coach Duped 2 Teens into Being His ‘Sex Slaves’
Towards the end of 2011, Leonard Kannan, a sports coach, was engaged by a primary school to conduct activities for its graduating pupils.
Within a few weeks, however, Kannan started preying on one young girl.
The 47-year-old started speaking to a 12-year-old girl and suggested that they exchange nude photos of themselves.
The teenager agreed and sent him photos, but when he didn’t do the same, she stopped speaking to him.
Two years later, Kannan contacted the girl, who was now in secondary school, and claimed he had received threats from a “China man” who found her nude photos.
He told the girl that this man threatened to leak her photos unless she sent him more nude photos and sex videos.
Scared, the victim complied.

He then deceived her into engaging in sex acts with him by using the same threat.
Kannan later convinced the victim that the “China man” also wanted nude photographs of her best friend, and managed to manipulate her into deceiving her best friend so she, too, would fall for the ruse.
The man then tricked the two girls into having threesomes and got them to perform sexual acts on each other.
The 47-year-old even convinced the first victim to persuade a boy from her school to engage in sex acts with her.
Kannan’s offences came to light after he impersonated two other men and asked the first victim on social media for nude photos and sex videos.

Feeling stressed from the harassment, the victim decided to go to the police, and both victims ended up making a police report on 15 March 2016.
Kannan was arrested the next day.
Jailed for 31 Years with 24 Strokes of the Cane
Yesterday (25 May), Kannan was sentenced to 31 years’ jail and 24 strokes of the cane after he pleaded guilty to one charge of aggravated rape of the first victim when she was 13, and another charge of rape of the second victim when she was 14.
Another 20 charges, including some for rape, were taken into consideration.
The prosecution said that the two victims “found themselves helplessly entangled in the accused’s diabolical web as his sex slaves for a period of three years.”

When they were assessed at the Child Guidance Clinic, the first victim said the harrowing incident left her with nightmares of people finding out about the matter.
This caused her to suffer from insomnia and depression, leading to thoughts of suicide.
The second victim said she became fearful of people from China as she was worried that they would harm her or her family, adding that she was frustrated and helpless throughout the incident.
The man will be 78 years old when he gets out of prison.
