You’d have known about Sportslink’s impending closure. The home-grown sports apparel chain killed off by COVID-19; the company allegedly has cashflow problems since 2018, and the pandemic is just the final nail in the coffin.
Having owed over millions of dollars and even salaries, there’s been no update about the retail chain that we grew up with.
But there’s a sale, and let’s face it: that’s all we care about.
According to Facebook Page Singapore Atrium Sale, the outlet at Ang Mo Kio Central, which is located deep within the central area, is having a clearance sale.
It’s so hidden, you probably spend more time looking for it than shopping in the shop. The shop is located at Blk 712 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, Singapore 560712 on the 4th level, and is open from 11am to 9:30pm.
The Facebook Page mentioned that there’s a 50% off retail price…which is already 50% before the retail price.
For example, this pair of Nike shoes is originally $149, but is selling at a discounted price of $69.90. There’s an additional 50% off the discounted price, which means it’s now at $34.95.
An Adidas top is only $14.75, though you might wonder how much they procured the goods for (geddit?):
You can even get running shorts for a mere $5 per piece:
If you buy more, there would be an additional 20% off the second item.

The promotion ends today (23 August 2020), and the company appears to be saving so much cost that they didn’t even use a printer to print out their promotional poster, so that previous poster could probably be just another cost-cutting measure:
So if you’ve nothing to do today and have been wanting to start that exercise regime you’ve planned since Circuit Breaker, now’s a good time to stock up on some nice looking apparels. Exercising or not isn’t important.
