Stalker Takes Upskirt Photos Of NUS Student & Followed Her; Fellow Commuter Catches Him In The Act

It no longer feels like our streets are safe these days. It seems like pervs and molesters get more and more brazen with each passing day.

All this despite the rising number of molesting and upskirt cases being outed to the public over the recent weeks.

Or should we wonder if these increased media reports are making the public more vigilant and wary about these situations, which is why we are catching more of these perverts?

Either way, in the latest episode of perverts:

Man Allegedly Took Upskirt Photos Of NUS Student & Stalked Her

According to The New Paper, the incident allegedly happened at outside Kent Ridge MRT Station at around 9.50am on 9 October. The NUS Student posted on social media that a fellow commuter had told her that a man was stalking her.

He had allegedly followed her and even knelt behind her pretending to tie his shoelaces. He was actually allegedly taking upskirt photos of her.

The man crouching down and wearing the dark green shirt is allegedly the man who took the upskirt photos.

The fellow commuter had also seen him taking pictures of her on the train. After the commuter approached the girl to inform her, the man disappeared.

Victim Has Lodged A Police Report

According to The New Paper, an NUS spokesman said the student reported the incident to the NUS Office of Campus Security (NUS OCS) on Wednesday.

“NUS OCS has reached out to the female student, who declined the university’s offer to provide her with support,” she added.

Why Didn’t He Catch The Guy Right Away?

What the fellow commuter did was great. He warned the alleged victim of the man’s actions. However, I wonder if it would’ve been better if the man had approached the man first.

That way, the commuter would’ve been able to check the man’s phone and find out if he really did take those photos.

It would’ve also prevented him from running away and if he was guilty. Or perhaps everything happened way too fast.

I guess the only thing to do now is to move forward.

Let’s just hope the alleged perv isn’t an NUS student with a high GPA.
