If you see a man in green, chances are you’ll know he’s from the SAF and doing his part to serve and defend his country. You’ll think of him as tough, independent and all garang soldier.
When a little kid goes up to him and he shows his softer side, entertaining the little boy who so obviously respect him, you’ll go aww.
Either that or you’ll be wondering why this man in our army uniform is sitting down, and if he’s really entertaining the kid because he wants to be seated down.

SAF Serviceman entertaining little boy on a public bus
And that was exactly what happened here. According to Twitter user @turtlebossy, a little boy told his mother, “Mummy, look, it’s an army person” and went up to him.
The soldier talked to the kid about beyblade and sang the Pokemon song together with him.
Awww.
It’s great to know that people in uniforms are still respected here in Singapore, isn’t it? Now someone go give him the best soldier award.
