Have you ever had that anxiety dream when you accidentally turn up to school naked? It’s incredibly humiliating, but you wake up assured that it’d never happen in real life because you’re not an exhibitionist who enjoys living behind bars.
It’s the same with that dream where you oversleep on the bus and wake up in a foreign land. That could never happen, right?
Student Overslept Until Woodlands Checkpoint & Was Sent To School By S’pore Police
One sleepy student had the shock of his life when he realised he had overslept on the way to school and ended up at Woodlands Checkpoint.
According to his teacher who shared the hilarious incident on Reddit, it all started with a ride on the SBS service 170.
If you’re Singaporean and don’t have a fear of inordinately long vehicles, you’ve probably taken a bus to Johor Bahru (JB) before.
Service 170, as you know, takes you to the Larkin Terminal in JB.
But it also makes several stops in the Bukit Timah and Woodlands area along the way, passing by a few schools.
This particular student was presumably commuting to school and decided to take a little nap on the way.
But when he woke up, he realized he had overslept and ended up at Woodlands Checkpoint.
Tried to enter Malaysia using student pass
So, now you’re at Woodlands Checkpoint, nearer to another country than the school you’re supposed to be at. What do you do?
Well, if you’re this particular student, you try entering the other country, of course.
When he woke up and found long lines of people queuing up at immigration instead of his school, the student panicked and decided to join the queue.
But he didn’t have his passport, of course. So, as any other human would, he realised there was no possible way he could enter Malaysia and asked the authorities for help, right?
Nope, this student tried to slot his student pass into the passport scanner, and it got stuck.
But why? Why try to enter Malaysia instead of turning around?
His teacher believes his student thought he had to join the queue to get on the return bus route, like at an interchange.
Thankfully, a few kind police officers offered to take him to school after hearing about his predicament.
He may have been late, but at least he managed to stay in the country.
His teacher thanked the Singapore Police Force in his post, for bringing his clueless student back to school.
If you’re taking a bus that goes to Woodland Checkpoint, it might be a good idea to skip that nap you were looking forward to.
Unless you want to be the subject of Goody Feed’s next article, of course.
