Princess Dolly’s Malaysia Trip and Substance Allegations

Posting on her Threads account on 3 Nov, Dolly claimed she was introduced to substances during the trip. She did not identify any individual involved.

She addressed an unspecified man, saying she travelled to Malaysia to meet him because he told her he missed her. She was apparently told that she was the only person he had ever invited, and he “loved her soul”.

She wrote: “After (the first day), I was taken on a mysterious journey. You said you only treated me this way. You said this was our little secret. You convinced me to try those substances. You said I was the most special, but it was all a lie.”

She stated: “I was just one of your toys, right?”

She also alluded to more serious matters, saying: “But, I’m just one of the women who hasn’t died, right?” She added that after seeing the news, she broke down, writing: “It turns out I was just one of many girls who haven’t died yet.”

In a subsequent post on 4 Nov, Dolly said she had not visited the man for money, but because she genuinely liked him and his “music-making”. She added that while she may not imagine herself as someone’s partner because she does not have that qualification, she cannot accept being deceived.

Dolly released a six-point clarification, stressing she did not receive payment for the trip and went because she admired the person who invited her. She stated: “I was also not brought to Malaysia by a so-called ‘beverage influencer’ nor was I paid to accompany anyone during the trip,” describing the trip as personal.

She said the illegal substances provided to her in Malaysia were supplied by the other person. Dolly clarified that she did not bring any contraband out of Taiwan customs or into Malaysia customs, writing: “I could not and did not carry any prohibited items through customs in Taiwan or Malaysia.”

She had planned to return to Malaysia in November. She wrote: “Thank you to those who are concerned. Please give me time to regulate my emotions,” adding that she would not comment further on the matter.

It is believed that Namewee and Hsieh had been working on filming a video together and were discussing matters in a Kuala Lumpur hotel room that day. Hsieh had arrived in Malaysia on 20 Oct and was scheduled to stay until 24 Oct.

Malaysian police reclassified the case as a murder investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code on 4 Nov. Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Fadil Marsus said the case was initially categorised as sudden death but has since been reclassified.

Namewee was arrested on 22 Oct and charged on 24 Oct with drug possession and consumption. He has denied taking drugs or being involved in Hsieh’s death.

On 2 Nov, Namewee posted a statement on Instagram after what he described as “unsubstantiated news reports” linked him to the death. He stated: “I haven’t used drugs, nor have I been carrying any. At most, I’ve been drinking more lately. Believe it or not, the truth will come out when the police report is released, which should take another two or three months.”

He turned himself in on 5 Nov after Malaysian police reclassified the case as a murder probe. He surrendered to city authorities after returning from his southern home state of Johor, vowing to fully cooperate with the police investigation.
