The other six charges against him were dismissed.
The case can still be appealed.
The Shilin District Prosecutorโs Office had originally pushed for a harsh sentence. They stated Nono showed no signs of remorse for his actions.
Prosecutors had filed charges against him last year.
Details of the Allegations
According to prosecutors, Nono allegedly used his celebrity status to meet victims between 2008 and 2013.
He reportedly arranged work-related meetings to create opportunities to be alone with them.
Using his 181cm height as an advantage, he allegedly groped them and forced sexual acts.
Amber Chang, one of the victims, had spoken out about how he lured her into a car under the guise of sending her home.

At the time, she had simply referred to him as a celebrity who ran a chicken cutlet business.
During the car ride, he allegedly hugged her and pulled her into the backseat.
He then started kissing her and even tried to remove her undergarments.
It was only when she โbegged him to stopโ that he ceased his advances. He then allegedly joked about it.
Ongoing
The original charges included three counts of forced sexual intercourse, two counts of forced indecent assault, and two counts of attempted forced sexual intercourse against six women.

Two additional cases involving other alleged victims were initially not prosecuted due to a lack of evidence. However, after successful objections, the High Prosecutorโs Office reversed this decision.
These cases have been sent back for further investigation, which remains ongoing.
Too Short?
Following the revelation, Netizens have questioned the length of the sentence and whether it justifies Nonoโs supposed crimes.
One, for instance, was baffled by the duration and wondered whether Taiwan has caning punishments.
Another commented on the prison sentence as well, stating that it was โshortโ considering everything.
