I know what you’re thinking: Can I have a look at the image again for research purpose?
Unfortunately, no. We’re a family-friendly platform and the only nude we can show is this:
But anyways, if you’re here, you’ve probably known what happened.
If not, here’s a brief recap: Taiwanese tourist wore a string bikini in Borocay beach, a popular tourist spot in the Philippines. People took images of her and the police fined her S$66 based on a “provision of an ordinance prohibiting the taking and display of ‘lewd’ photographs.”
And now, it seems like the tourist isn’t really that ignorant.
Boyfriend Spoke Out
The tourist’s boyfriend, who had gone on the vacation with her, has spoken out to Apple Daily.
Well, first thing first: in earlier reports, the tourist has allegedly claimed that she often wears nothing string bikini in Taiwan. However, the boyfriend said that she has never claimed to say that.
The couple had seen the bikini in a shop a day before the eventful day, and they then had a bet.
Not sure what bet it was, but anyways.
The girlfriend lost the bet and so, she bought a string bikini on the next day.
They’ve only intended to “parade” the bikini in the hotel’s pool but was allegedly being approached by a hotel staff for their attire, as there were many children around.
And so, the couple went to the beach instead.
Did they think that there weren’t any children there?
Not Happy with the Situation
The boyfriend was not the least apologetic about their actions; he claimed, “We didn’t even know people were taking photos, we were not the ones who took and spread those photos, yet we were the ones who were penalized.”
He added that due to the incident, his girlfriend had been under a lot of stress and was on the verge of breaking down.
And of course, the boyfriend felt guilty about this.

He said, “Please don’t blame her…Please don’t share her photos or personal details anymore.”
What is String Bikini?
Lest you think it’s something that’s sold in sex shops, think again: string bikini is actually a real thing.
According to Wikipedia, it’s just another variant of the bikini, which is “scantier and more revealing than a regular bikini.”
However, buying that might be a tad tricky; for purely research purposes, I tried to find one online but could only find one or two in Amazon that looks like the one that the tourist was wearing, even when I specifically searched for “string bikini”.
Anyway, after doing this research, I can’t imagine what kind of ads I’ll be seeing in my laptop soon.
