Sweet Taxi Ride To Wedding
Everyone dreams of being ferried to their own wedding in a sleek, luxury car that they probably won’t step in again after that.
Yet, this couple decided to arrive in style – in a vehicle we’re all too familiar with in our everyday lives especially when we’ve got places to go.
ComfortDelGro’s taken to their Facebook page to share a sweet story of this humble wedding vehicle.
Ms Syarinah Sani was planning for her wedding in March earlier this year, which is never an easy feat for expenses often have to be balanced with needs.
Out of the goodness of his heart, her uncle Abdul Aziz Bin Talibak, who happened to be a taxi driver with ComfortDelGro, knew just where they could hitch a ride to the venue.
He volunteered to use his taxi as a wedding car for the couple, where taxis decked out in wedding ribbons are something that’s rarely seen on the roads.
“I decided to offer my taxi as my niece’s wedding car as I thought it would help them save on expenses. The taxi may not be a luxury car but it is only slightly over one year old, and still looks new,” Mr Aziz flushed.
The cabby then proceeded to ask ComfortDelGro for permission to do so on 12 March, who then wrote to the Land Transport Authority for further approval.

Within a day, the request was accepted and they were on their way.

It even has a little ribbon tail at the back.
Ms Syarinah was pleasantly surprised that her uncle would offer his taxi up to be their wedding car and felt very thankful to him.
“He even paid for the decoration out of his own pockets and made the taxi look so presentable on my big day,” she shared.

It’s really not every day that you see a big satin bow tied around our classic blue taxis, but what a sweet sight it really is.
