When you were in primary or secondary school, if your “illegal” item was to be confiscated by your discipline master, chances are, you’ll never see it again.
However, for this particular man in Singapore, he got his “toy” back from his ex-discipline master after 20 years.
Isn’t that beautiful?
Retiring Secondary School Teacher Who Confiscated Digivice 20 Years Ago Returned It to Student
According to a Facebook post uploaded by Facebook user Lai Wai Kit, Mr Lim was his discipline master 20 years ago.
While he was never taught directly by the teacher, he knew that he was on his radar with his “coloured hair, baggy pants, funky shoes and a few other misdemeanours”.
After seeing a post about Mr Lim’s retirement, Lai commented on his the post about his confiscated Tamagotchi.
And then, this happened.
Teacher Reaches Out
Turns out, Lai’s former discipline master keeps a record, together with mug shots and notes, from all the way back in the 80s.
If it were my discipline master, he’d need to rent a house to keep all the items #justsaying
His ex-discipline master reached out to him regarding the Tamagochi that was confiscated two decades ago.
Apparently, Mr Lim was in the midst of clearing his things before leaving school for good and said he’ll try to find the Tamagochi for him.
The next week, Mr Lim managed to find the device, which looks like it’s still in pristine condition.
In a hilarious moment, the discipline master also admitted that he doesn’t remember what a Tamagochi looks like.
On the day of his post, the man had taken the time to return to his school and visited his former discipline master and get back his Tamagotchi, which actually isn’t a Tamagotchi but a Digimon device, commonly known as Digivice.
Well, at least it’s nice to see that it might be 20 years but the funky pants? They never change.
Jokes aside, one person asked a valid question, though.

Well, if you came from the Tamagochi era, you’ll probably know what he’s talking about.
But isn’t this such a great story to end your day with?
After all, while discipline masters might be tough on you during your student life, it’s only because they want you to grow up the right way.
Now, I wonder if I can have my Nokia 3310 back? I need to crack open something.
