Married Tech CEO Caught Hugging HR Chief at Coldplay Concert, Tries to Duck out of View

A married tech executive has deleted his LinkedIn page after footage of him getting cosy with a woman who is not his wife went viral at a Coldplay concert in Boston.

Media reports and netizens have identified the man as software firm Astronomer’s chief executive Andy Byron, and the woman as Ms Kristin Cabot, the company’s human resources head.

Coldplay Crowd Cam Sparks Viral Frenzy

A video circulating widely online shows the couple highlighted on a big screen during the concert at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium on 16 Jul. The man stands behind the woman with his arms wrapped around her waist.

When they realise they are on the screen, Byron immediately ducks out of view. Cabot turns her back to the camera and covers her face.

“Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy,” Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said during the concert.

The incident soon went viral on social media. Many concertgoers uploaded the interaction on TikTok and Instagram.

One TikTok video garnered over 40 million views and more than 30,000 comments in less than 24 hours.

Workplace Relationship Raises Questions After Public Exposure

According to Cabot’s LinkedIn, she started work at Astronomer in November 2024. Newsweek reported that Cabot described herself as an “influential leader and fearless change-agent” who led by example and won trust with employees at all levels, “from CEOs to managers to assistants”.

Byron praised Cabot in November, saying she was a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies. He highlighted her passion for “fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces”.

Local media reports said that Byron has two sons with his wife Megan Kerrigan Byron.

The fallout from the viral video has resulted in what appears to be Byron’s wife deleting her Facebook page. Before she did, she reportedly removed her married name earlier in the day.

Byron’s LinkedIn profile has since been taken down. The company, Byron and Cabot have yet to issue a statement on the incident.

One netizen said: “If I was his wife, I think my heart would explode immediately… I feel so sorry for his wife and his kids.”

Another user said: “I wish all affairs could be exposed this quickly, maybe not this publicly, but their families deserve the truth.”
