It’s actually pretty common for all of us to go through what experts call a “rebellious phase” during our teenage years.

It is, after all, the time when hormones are running rampant and puberty’s making short work of your body, sprouting hairs where none were there before.

And of course, there’s the dreaded pimples.

However, there are some teenage delinquents who just took it way too far all in the name of “entertainment”, or “thrills”.

From the tears one of the girls wept when she pleaded guilty to her criminal charges, it’s obvious that she now thinks her little lapse in judgment is completely not worth it.

Unfortunately, crying over spilled milk won’t turn back time.

Hope she will be able to learn from her mistakes and recover from whatever “black mark” that now stains her public record.

Teenage Girls Robbing and Beating Taxi Driver “Just for a Thrill”

The eldest girl in the group is 16 years old, while her 3 other associates have ages ranging from 13 to 15 years old.

The girls met up at Bukit Gombak subway station and walked over to the nearby Little Guilin Park.

Bored, the girls decided to take a taxi at around 7pm that night.

The plan was to take the opportunity to rob the taxi driver by refusing to pay the fare.

They even agreed that if the taxi driver decided to chase after them as they make their escape, they would beat the driver up.

Their first taxi trip from Little Guilin Park to a parking lot at Jalan Lam Sam.

After arriving at the destination, the four teenagers exited the taxi without paying the driver.

The driver called after them to pay the far but he didn’t get out of the car to pursue them.

This guy’s the lucky one.

Apparently, Stealing from Taxi Drivers isn’t Thrilling Enough

The girls are very disappointed that the previous taxi driver didn’t give them the thrill they are looking for.

So, they changed their plan.

This time around, if the taxi driver didn’t chase after them, they would open his door and to beat him up.

They also planned to rob him of his cash.

At around 11:30pm, they took another taxi to the remote part of Sungei Tengah Road.

Once arrived, they asked the driver to stop and they got off the taxi.

Under the pretense of helping the driver avoid backing into a puddle, the 16-year-old walked to the rear end of the taxi.

The other three then walked over to the driver’s side and asked the driver to exit the car because she has someone on the phone for him.

The taxi driver knew something suspicious is going on and refused.

The teenager knew she’s not getting her way and immediately hurled a fist at his head.

Another girl in the group also joined in.

They subsequently found the driver’s wallet near the car seat, and took S$256 from it before running helter-skelter from the scene of the crime, leaving the injured taxi driver behind.

They took refuge at a nearby farm, and ended up calling a Grab to return to VivoCity.

The four then split their ill-gotten loot.

The accused herself received S$64 and she spent it on herself.

Even after being arrested, the accused has yet to return the money she stole.

The taxi driver immediately called the police and reported the robbery and the assault.

He was also sent to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital to get treatment.

According to the medical report, the driver had hematomas and bruises on his forehead, as well as bruises on his right cheek.

He was also diagnosed with a head injury, amnesia, and scalp hematoma and abrasions.

Crying Over Spilled Milk

The accused faced 5 criminal charges including theft, robbery causing injury, breaking and entering, and providing false information.

She pleaded guilty to all charges.

As the accused isn’t 18 years old at the time of the sentence, according to the Children and Youth Act, her details cannot be released by the media.

After admitting to her crimes, the accused hugged her mother and wept bitterly.

The judge asked for a report to determine whether the accused is suitable for probationary surveillance or she should be, instead, sentenced to youth rehabilitation.

A week is given for the report to be prepared and the judge will hand out the sentence after understanding the situation further.

The girl will be remanded during this time.

The judge also hoped that the girl will take the time to reflect on her actions.

Regarding the other three accomplices, the 13-year-old has already pleaded guilty a few days ago and was sentenced to 24-month probation.

The other two teenagers’ cases are still in trial.
