Tiptoe by the window, by the window…
My homeboys and girls who’ve seen Insidious would be very much familiar with Tiny Tim’s eerie rendition of Tiptoe Through the Tulips.
Not to mention this line, “that is where I’ll become.”
Goodnight everybody! Have fun imagining that tiptoeing through your windows!
But listen, demonic entities are a thing of the past. Heck, we’ve even normalised the act of being terrorised by satan’s little minions. It’s getting repetitive!
Haven’t you heard of the new scare-wagon?
Lock your doors, turn your lights down low, and listen to the tale of The Infamous Peeping Tom. Legend has it that the sight of this maggot-looking creature is not at all rare. Ladies, beware.
A Facebook user from Thailand uploaded a disturbing video of yet another Peeping Tom caught in the act. The video, uploaded on 4 December, has since garnered over 7.8K impressions and 2.1K comments.
He touched the wet tiles of a public restroom. I don’t know what’s grosser! My toes are curling!
A Terrible Coincidence
The chilling encounter took place at a public toilet located in a petrol kiosk, reported Thai media.
So here’s what happened.
Upon entering the cubicle, the victim was quick to spot the the oddly large gap between the door and the floor.
Conscious of what could be seen through the gap, she decided to record a clip to ease her worries. You know, just in case.
If you haven’t seen the clip, here it is.
Again, he touched the floor with his bare hands! His face brushed against the floor! The horror! My toes! They curl!
Feared For Her Safety
Obviously, the woman was shook. Who wouldn’t be? I would have screamed bloody murder!
Upon seeing the woman’s camera, the Peeping Tom quickly got up and fled… Like a cockroach on a wet floor.
Out of fear that the sneaky pervert was out to get her, the woman called over a male friend to come get her.
She explained her ordeal in the caption of the video. According to Mothership‘s translation, it goes like this:
Warning to all girls using public bathrooms. This is the good part as being someone who pays attention to every little detail and because I take pictures of everything. I normally will choose to use the squat toilet instead of the flush toilet because it’s more sanitary.
At the moment I felt like the gap beneath the door was too large, I felt as if I was opening up directly to the gap. I took my phone out and started recording to see the angle from where the gap was. Then the man came in and what happened next was captured in the video.
I was shaking and the gas station was a quiet one. I didn’t want to go out just yet because he might be waiting for me as he saw that I took a video.
I called a male friend to come to pick me up. I thought if I had come alone, he could rape me then kill me afterward. There was an employee cleaning the bathroom entrance, I don’t know how he came in unnoticed.
How insane would you have to be in order to want to see someone using the toilet? Being a woman is so dangerous sometimes. The Police are now tracking down the person in the video.
Now that’s bound to stick for quite some time. It’s upsetting how such occurrences have become… so common. Can’t we normalise other things?
World peace is first on the list but that might be too ambitious. How about not being gross? Yes, let’s do that. It’s not that hard!
Over in TikTok, there’s a drama involving property agents that’s caused by us. Here’s what happened:
