Police in Hua Hin arrested a woman for forcing her 13-year-old daughter into sex work with an older man to obtain money for drugs.
The case emerged on 26 Apr after the teenager told her father about ongoing abuse. She described extensive mistreatment including physical violence and public humiliation by her mother.
Her father travelled from Phuket immediately after hearing these details. The parents had separated years earlier without legally marrying.

Two children had remained in the mother’s custody following the separation. The father alleged his former partner consistently prevented him from visiting both daughters.
Sexual Exploitation Began When Victim Was Just 11 Years Old
The exploitation began two years earlier when the girl was only 11. Her aunt and mother arranged the first meeting with a 50-year-old man in Aug 2023.
The aunt drove the child to meet this man, who then took her to a hotel room where he sexually assaulted her.
She returned home in pain and bleeding after the assault. The mother attributed these symptoms to normal menstruation.
A second incident occurred two months later at another short-stay hotel. The aunt again brought her to meet the same man.
The girl resisted during this second encounter. The man then returned her to a nearby park where her mother was waiting.
He told the mother not to bring the child for future meetings. The mother then cursed at her daughter.
The mother’s methamphetamine addiction reportedly drove these arrangements. She regularly sent her daughter to collect narcotics from various contacts to avoid police detection herself.

The mother also owed significant debts to informal lenders that required daily payments.
Foundation Intervention Leads to Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
The father contacted the Pavena Foundation for Children and Women seeking legal assistance and protection for his daughters. This occurred on 30 Apr following his initial rescue of the teenager.
Foundation representatives reached out to Pol Col Kampanat Na Wichai at Hua Hin Police Station. A comprehensive investigation began immediately after this contact.
Medical professionals examined the victim while specialists conducted detailed interviews. Both sisters now receive care and protection through the foundation’s programs.
Arrest warrants were issued on 19 May targeting both the mother and aunt. Charges include human trafficking and procuring minors under 15 for sexual purposes.

Officers apprehended the mother on the same day warrants were issued. A drug test showed methamphetamine in her system, leading to an additional charge for drug use.
The suspect admitted to facilitating three separate encounters between her daughter and the client. Payment amounts were 1,500 baht (S$60) for the initial park introduction, 2,000 baht (S$80) for the first hotel meeting, and 5,000 baht (S$200) for the second hotel encounter.
According to the mother’s confession, the aunt kept all the money. The mother remains in police custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
Authorities continue searching for the aunt while working to identify the male client. Both face prosecution once located, according to foundation statements.
