2. The Movie’s Release Was Delayed By 800 Days

The movie was supposed to be released way earlier in April 2018.

However, it got postponed to August 2019 as there was a clash with the release of another X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix.

Finally, when it was set to be premiered again in August 2019, Disney acquired 20th Century Fox and the release of various films, including The New Mutants, had been pushed back again.

After numerous delays, everyone thought they were finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as the movie was confirmed to be released in April 2020.

Little did we know the movie had been delayed once again due to Covid-19.

The movie finally announced that it’ll be released on 27 Aug 2020.

It has been over 800 days since the original release date in April 2018.

All good things are worth waiting for right?

3. You Will Not Be Seeing Your Favourite Character Warlock

X-Men fans should be familiar with Warlock, which has been part of the New Mutants squad since 1984. However, Warlock will not be appearing in the movie due to budget constraints.

According to the director, he had planned for Warlock’s character to be included but the extensive CGI needed to develop Warlock’s character would have doubled the production budget.

Thus, the plan is to introduce Warlock only in the subsequent film. Let’s just hope that the film would be a success so that we can finally meet our favourite character in the sequel, hopefully.
