The Real Singapore case just got realer.
Just an update for those who are not in the loop: two people allegedly operating The Real Singapore website has been on trial for sedition. The website was ordered to close down last year, and former TRS editor Ai Takagi has pleaded guilty to her charges. She was then sentenced to ten-month jail, which would start from 22 April 2016.
Her husband, Yang Kaiheng, has claimed trial, denying his involvement in the website.
Giving credit to where it’s due, the duo is now running a decent business in Ang Mo Kio, selling ramen in a coffee shop.
In the trial yesterday, the prosecution showed a Skype chat log between “able_tree”, an account allegedly used by Ai Takagi and Yang, and a web developer, Damien Koh.
“able_tree” has allegedly proposed to start a “Stomp” in Australia, and told Damien Koh this: “You handle website, I handle marketing. It is an ugly culture, but can make money.”
Wow. Can you imagine that? An Australia Stomp. Our dear Stomp nearly went international!
Anyway, when asked where the content could come from, “able_tree” then said this: “Leave it to me la. I pro shit stirrer.”
The hearing will continue today, and this time, it might be more sensational than The Real Singapore.
If you watch at least 10 minutes of brain rot content daily, you must know this:
