If you love buffet and seafood, you’d know about The Three Peacocks, an outdoor BBQ seafood buffet that’s well-known for its affordable buffet (at a very, very ulu location).
The eatery has just been suspended for two weeks by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
Or maybe they needed to do some renovations lah I don’t know lah.
The Three Peacocks, an Outdoor BBQ Buffet Eatery at Labrador Park, Suspended for 2 Weeks
According to a media statement by SFA, they will be suspending the licence of The Three Peacocks, the Food Shop at 8 Port Road, (Blk 17) Labrador Park, Singapore 117540, under the Points Demerit System.
The period of suspension is two weeks from 5 July 2023 to 18 July 2023. (both dates inclusive).
Apparently, The Three Peacocks has accumulated 14 demerit points within a 12-month period and was fined a total of $1,000 for the following offences:
Failure to register assistant = 6 demerit points
Sold food outside food establishment = 4 demerit points
Sold food outside food establishment = 4 demerit points
Any eatery that accumulates 12 or more demerit points within a 12-month period may have his licence suspended for a period of either two or four weeks, or cancelled.
All food handlers working in the suspended premises would also be required to re-attend and pass the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1, before they can resume work as food handlers.
Announced Last Month that They Would be Closed for Renovation Work
It seems like The Three Peacocks is fully prepared for this: at least their PR team is.
Last month, they’ve already announced that they will be closed for “some renovation works” from 5 July 2023 to 18 July 2023:
In the image, they said it was for “maintenance”.
But fret not if you miss affordable seafood; earlier this year, they just opened an air-conditioned seafood buffet restaurant in Marina One West Tower, also at an affordable price. Dinner starts from $38.80 during the weekends.
