The most common excuse that people give for not exercising is this: “I don’t have time to exercise.” Well, how about just exercising one hour before you sleep? I’m sure you’ll have spent that time watching the latest episode of Running Man or stalking your ex’s Facebook account.
Now, there’ll be more who would give this excuse: “But at night, when I want to exercise, the gym is closed.” And you feel unsafe running at 12:00 a.m. (in Singapore? You kidding?).
Now, there’s no excuse: in Singapore, there’s a chain of gyms called Anytime Fitness, and it’s open 24 hours a day.
At about $100 or less per month, once you’ve become a member, you can just go to any of the gyms at any time of the day: even at 3:00 a.m. In fact, I was once a member and you’ll sometimes still see a few people in the gym at 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m.!
With 25 gyms strategically located all over Singapore, you can no longer say a gym isn’t available at 1:00 a.m. While the gym might not be as big as those commercial ones you see in Singapore, the long opening hours usually mean people will come in at different timings, so it won’t be as packed even if it’s small.
The hours that the staff will be in would be normal hours, but if you’re going in during the wee hours, you can just tap your access card. Just that no one would greet you!
So, if you’re been waiting to keep fit, why not just join one? Given our hectic lifestyle, this would well be the perfect solution. Simply check out the outlets in their website here: http://www.anytimefitness.sg/find-gym
