If you’re reading this article, you were probably searching for a corgi cafe in Bangkok. Well here’s some good news for you. There’s a corgi pet cafe in Bangkok called Corgi in the garden that you won’t want to miss out on:
Calling all corgi enthusiasts or people planning a trip to Bangkok:
This paradise exists.
Yes, a true-blue corgi cafe.
Corgis have gained some attention on the internet in recent years, and it’s a wonder it didn’t happen sooner, what with their short legs, long fluffy bodies, satellite ears and yes that wide smile on their face (which we, take note, only assume to be happiness, maybe they’re actually perpetually pissed but they do it in a very energetic way).
Their proportions are so exaggerated that they almost feel like caricatures, and the result is a fluffy ball of success.
Can you imagine a place where 12 of these little guys are running around?
Take a look at the stars of the Corgi In The Garden corgi cafe:
Their names are Dean, Quinn, Porkchop, Pumpkin, Salmon, Bean, Bone, Babycorn, Blossom, Bluebell, Barley and Buttercup (which makes you wonder if the one who named them all was kind of hungry at that point).
Warm & Mellow Cafe
Now, drag your eyes away from the dogs for a second and take a look at the interior of the cafe:
The decor is warm and mellow. Some areas seem more modern while others, almost rustic.
And if you were wondering where the “garden” part in “Corgi in the Garden” comes in…
There you go.
Insta-Worthy Food
For those who were wondering about the cafe aspect of it (aka the food part), this place serves homemade coffee, drinks, light snacks and desserts.
More Details:
Corgi in the Garden has 2 types of tickets:
- 250 Baht (S$10.70), which includes a drink
- 350 Baht (S$15.00), which includes a drink and a cake
Also, corgis are a breed known for their boundless capacity for attention, but even so they can get overwhelmed.
So visitors have to abide by the time slots, as stated below and can stay for one hour each. The cafe is closed on Mondays.
- Morning slot: 10.30 am (weekends only)
- Noon slot: 12.30 pm
- Afternoon slot: 2:30 pm
- Evening slot 4:30 pm
And, take note, no other pets are allowed in this cafe.
Reviews
Now, we just spent about 350 words intensely advertising this cafe to you, as if we’ve been there ourselves.
Nope, we did not just believe everything marketed about this cafe and passed on the information on to you.
But don’t just take our (dubious) word for it!
The Google reviews of the cafe are also largely positive, with one reviewer saying that it’s an “absolute heaven”.
Take note, the observation that the dogs are friendly is an important one, because there are many pet cafes where the pets are less than amicable, and that can really ruin your experience.
*ahem*local*pet*cafes*
Corgis generally get along well with people, including children, are always cheerful and crave lots of affection, so they are quite a good breed for this kind of business, but here’s your confirmation.
In addition, pay attention to the directions to this place, because apparently, this cafe is tricky to get to.
Some customers also advise going half an hour earlier than the time slot to ensure a place inside since there are limited seats.
Now that you are informed, what are you waiting for?
