I always thought we Singaporeans were a pretty level-headed bunch of people. Unfortunately, it seems there are quite some people out there trying to prove me wrong, first starting with the spate of weird shit happening in Yishun, followed by a sudden string of fights breaking out.
This is another one of those fights.
Two days ago, Saturday, 5pm, there were several men who were involved in a heated argument. According to a witness, the men were drinking and minding their own business, when apparently, somebody had come along to “make trouble”.
Why anyone would look for trouble from a few men drinking is beyond me, but it seems it worked, and both sides were starting to spar verbally.
See if you can decipher what exactly is going on in this video taken by the witness.
Fortunately, the argument was quickly broken up, as some auxiliary police officers were alerted to the situation, as they were patrolling nearby. Before the heated words escalated to actual fisticuffs, the fight was stopped.
It seems everybody likes to scold other people online, which is exactly what happened here.
As netizens saw the admittedly quite tame “fight”, they immediately suggested punishments like jail time. One of them even exclaimed that “Singapore is a very stressful place”. Sometimes, you and me both, buddy.
