2 Winners but why so many winning entries?
For the unacquainted (me, me!), you must be thinking “what the heavens?”
“Why were there so many entries involved?” you asked.
To break it down, winner (1) was a damn lucky person who bought a QuickPick Ordinary Entry which consists of just 6 numbers, for a total of $1.
His bus ride into Potong Pasir on Bus 142, the only bus service serving the town’s interior, would have cost more than the $1 he forked out for the winning ticket.
For this person’s troubles, he got a payout of 6 million-plus bucks.
Now the convolution which is the other 28 winners under (2)- iTOTO – System 12 requires a bit of explaining to do.
According to Singpost where you lose items like money and mail for every parcel you sent is a gamble
… to Singapore Pools, an iTOTO allows you to buy one or more units of a Quick Pick System 12 (12 numbers as opposed to 7 or 8 numbers in System 7 or System 8 respectively) Entry for the current draw, which is divided into 28 units.
Which means:
If you don’t get it, it means that you are given a chance to purchase a (unit of) System 12 ticket -which originally costs $924 should you wish to tank it alone- for a price of $33 ($924/28).
Since each increase in number from System to System represents a huge jump in winning possibility, iTOTO allows you to purchase a maximum-chance winning ticket of 12 numbers at a low price, albeit having to share the winnings with 27 others should your iTOTO entry hit the jackpot.
Now if you still don’t get it after my explanation and the image above, please do your wallet a favour and refrain from gambling.
If you do get it though, good luck, for all you might have to do is pick from 1 of the 29 places above to huat it all this CNY.
