If I’m being completely honest, I detest out-of-house advertisements by food and drink companies.
At one point or another, you would have seen a Coca-Cola advertisement in public. The iconic red can would be enlarged to the max with droplets of water seen trickling down, tempting every inch of you.
You can’t help but to salivate like a dog eyeing a fresh bag of treats.
And more often than not, upon catching sight of said advertisements, it just so happens that either the weather is extremely humid or you are extremely dehydrated. 10 out of 10 for strategically placed advertisements, Coca-Cola.
We are all a fan of something or someone.
For 64-year-old Hendrik Botha, his love for Coca-Cola is endless. No kidding.

Pretty amazing how the company can leave such a big impact on a person.
In light of the once famous #10YearChallenge that once flooded our social media feed, I thought it would only be right to dedicate one to Coca-Cola, the drink everyone grew up with.
The Raspberry flavored Coca-Cola was first released in 2006 in New Zealand for trial purposes.
However, it was scraped and re-introduced 10 years ago in 3 countries – Australia, United States and the United Kingdom in the Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain (A touch screen machine which enables users to concoct their own drinks from a variety of options under Coca-Cola).
And over in Singapore?
Well, we’ve something quite familiar yet not that similar.

The Coca-Cola Peach that went viral last year.
Coca-Cola Peach
First available last year exclusively in local 7-Eleven stores as a limited edition product, the Coca-Cola Peach that was once a hit online is now back for good as of 24 January 2019.
According to 7-Eleven Singapore, the drink which comes directly from Japan, has an added taste of 1% white peach juice compared to its first release.
If you’re thinking of trying it out, head over to any 7-Eleven store in Singapore with S$2.50 in your pocket.

First Look
At first glance, the first thing you’d notice about the packaging is the eye-catching peaches fizzling.
They’ve incorporated their iconic red into the bottle, as well as the Japanese lettering (okay, it’s Mandarin, but you get the gist), proving that it is the real deal from Japan.
Its pinkish design definitely stood out from the store, especially so when the outlet we went to placed it at eye level.
Now, how does it taste then?
Taste Test
Personally, I enjoy peach-flavored anything – from candy to tea to the actual fruit.
Now, if you smell it, here’s the first thought that comes to you: is that a cough syrup?
Upon consuming the drink, you’ll come to a conclusion: It does taste a tad like cough syrup.
But nonetheless, you’re greeted with the classic Coca-Cola with an added kick which is none other than the 1% peach juice.
I wasn’t expecting much as I’ve heard mixed reviews on this drink but frankly, I would purchase this again because the peach taste is noticeable. Though, I think it’d be better with greater amounts of peach juice.
But that’s just about it: just think of Coke fixed with a little of sweet peach, and you’ll have this $2.50 concoction.
Simply imagine Vanilla Coke and switch the vanilla to peach.
If you love peach, you’d love it but if you’re just someone who likes to try new drinks, then this would just be yet another novel product.
So is it worth it? Yes…but only if you’re a peach lover.
