If you’ve been anywhere on TikTok (or the internet) yesterday (8 February), you’ve probably seen the viral video of a secondary school schoolboy begging monkeys to return his school bag outside his school.
While you might think that everyone got a good laugh out of that video, maybe someone didn’t, because, in a twist of events, the account who posted the original video was asked to take it down.

However, even though it’s been taken down, many Singaporeans had already shared the hilarious video on various platforms yesterday.
If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is:
The video depicts the boy’s desperate and multiple attempts to get his school bag back from the monkeys, and shrieking when the monkeys followed him after he finally picked his bag up.
During the attempts to get his bag back, the boy even tried to offer the monkeys a can of coke in exchange for his bag and went from trying to speak in them in proper English to making monkey sounds.
Clearly, this boy was at his wits’ end.
The person behind the camera, presumably his friend, was also clearly amused by the incident.
Westwood Secondary School Teachers Asked For Video to Be Taken Down
According to the TikTok video by user @aniqfoughty, he claimed that teachers from Westwood Secondary School had asked him to take the viral TikTok video down, which he did.
However, some netizens were quick to point out that the video was not taken outside Westwood Secondary School.
Others also expressed disappointment at the teachers’ actions, saying that the teachers were “boring” and “lame”.

On the other hand, others also raised genuine questions asking why the teachers would have asked the user to take his video down, and they got their answers too.
I mean… It makes sense, but it’s also kind of sad to see something that brought so much laughter to everyone go in such a way.
