There’s a surefire way to know when you’re in your 30s. It’s when you look down at your floor, your shower drain, your pillow and see hair everywhere.

Pre-Treatment Scalp and Hair Analysis
After work, I decided to head to the TK TrichoKare outlet at Novena Square for a hair treatment.
My experience started with a pre-treatment scalp and hair analysis to diagnose the root causes (pun not intended) of my hair issues.
Using the Tricho-Scan tool for a 200-times magnified view of my scalp, my consultant showed me all the “hair issues” Pokemons I didn’t even know I was collecting.

Yup. That’s my scalp — dehydrated, inflamed, and even flaking. I thought it was a lost cause. But the TrichoKare staff were up for the challenge.
Customised European Herbal Scalp Masque
The first step in fixing my scalp was to apply a European Herbal Scalp Masque all over my scalp. The masque is customised to target all that gunk you saw on my scalp earlier.
The masque was then massaged into my scalp to help with absorption. Shiok!
We then let the cooling masque sit for ten minutes.
Hair Bath
As much as I didn’t want to say goodbye to the masque, it was time to wash it away.

Heading back to the treatment area, I was given a shoulder heating pad and a shoulder massage to take the literal burden off my shoulders.
Then, a customised Treatment Essence was applied thoroughly to my scalp using the NanoMist Spray.
I was then treated to yet another scalp massage, some argan oil applied on my ends, and a blow-dry of my hair.
We’re almost at the end of the hair treatment process, but it’s been so relaxing I was hoping it wouldn’t end!
PhotoDynamic Therapy
Now, it’s time for PhotoDynamic Therapy using the headphones-esque gadget you see here:
It improves circulation in your scalp using infra-red light technology. You can see the infra-red lights shining down onto my scalp here:

Post-Treatment Scalp Scan Analysis
Now that the treatment was over, it’s time to see the results.
With the Tricho-Scan tool, we once again peered into my scalp at 200-times magnification. The results were astounding — look how clean my scalp is now!
