If you’re familiar with Running Man, you’d know that the show itself has a secret agent.
Sort of.
Meet Yoomes Bond, part-time host and national MC and freelance secret agent. Note: He only gets jobs once a year. Or so we’re told.
Well, guess what? Our favourite secret agent is going to meet another secret agent from the states.
Tom Cruise & His Team To Appear on Running Man
On 16 July, it was reported that Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill and British Actor, Simon Pegg, will be appearing in an episode of Running Man.
For those who want to watch the episode (who wouldn’t?!), they’ll be appearing on the episode on 22 July 2018.
The stars are visiting South Korea to promote the latest movie in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Fallout, which will be opening in cinemas later this month.
Are you excited? Hell, yeah, because this isn’t the one-segment-appearance that the girl group TWICE did for Running Man.
It’s the whole package.
The MI stars will be competing in games at different locations against the Running Man cast.
Imagine Kim Jong Kook’s epic battle against Henry Cavill.
Or Lee Kwang Soo’s nametag ripping skills against Simon Pegg.
And will secret agent Yoomes Bond win against Tom Cruise, the godfather of all secret agents?
Nobody knows until the day comes.
Since we’re on the topic of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, let’s talk about this epic blockbuster that’s going to come to our cinemas soon.
When will Mission: Impossible – Fallout screen in Singapore?
For Singapore, the movie is slated to come out in Singapore’s cinemas next week on 26 July 2018.
And given the reviews raving about the movie so far, we really can’t wait.
Just when you thought there won’t be any more impossible missions
If you’re looking forward to the movie, don’t worry that it’ll suck.
Because it won’t.
Just look at the ratings given to the blockbuster.
The action-packing, secret agent show that we’ve watched and loved since the first MI movie came out.
And it seems like the latest movie from the franchise might just be what we’re looking for
According to Vox’s review, the sixth instalment may just be the best blockbuster of the summer.
It’s goofy, yet at the same time, jam-packed with high-stakes stunts that’ll never fail to wow the audience.
Plus, the movie highlights one important question: kill one for the sake of many, or save one and leave the rest to die?
Be prepared to be taken for a ride as the movie loops crazily around for two-and-a-half hours before finally settling down.
But then again, we’re not there just for the plot. Oh no, at least for this movie, it’s the action that counts.
While waiting for the movie, you can watch the trailer for yourself below:
So there you go, there are two shows we can look forward to this July.
One, the movie, Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
And two, the mini-Mission Impossible preview on Running Man, the South Korean variety show.
I’m hoping the running man cast win, although that’s probably a…mission impossible.
Now you know what Singaporeans are talking about today; do check back tomorrow for another piece of news of the day!
