You’ll get an employer who treats you like family. Or to be more specific, an employer like Tony Leung Ka-Fai.
Cancer diagnosis
When Delia, Tony Leung’s helper of 30 years, was diagnosed with cancer in November 2018, she was shellshocked. But as it turned out, it’s not just her.
Her employers were too.

And in a move that’s surely going to enter the history books of domestic helpers, Tony Leung and family proceeded to help Delia through this particularly tough time. Not just with your conventional ‘kind words and encouragement’ either…
But actual action.
Rallying together, the family supported Delia throughout the entire treatment process, which involved a keto diet, undergoing chemotherapy once a week, radiation 5 days a week and internal radiation 4 times under full anaesthesia.
Additionally, Mr Leung and his wife also made it a point to drive Delia to the hospital every day for check-ups, waiting for her to finish chemotherapy before escorting her home.
And finally, the good news came. Three months after the startling revelation, Delia was finally cleared of cancer. As you might’ve guessed, the whole family was ecstatic.

In fact, it’s to the point where ‘ecstatic’ might be an understatement.
But perhaps it shouldn’t be unexpected in the first place, considering how Delia has taken care of Tony’s twin daughters since they were babies. To phrase it in Nikki’s own words…
