The dissipation rate of arguments usually varies depending on the severity and anger level in question. Most of the time, however, they trail off pretty fast and involve just words and perhaps the occasional hand gesture.
There are, however, several times whereby arguments could get out of hand. Words are no longer sufficient, and the participants feel like they needed something more. For instance?
A kitchen knife.
And lest you’re wondering, there’s information to back that “trend” up.
Man Retrieves a Kitchen Knife from Home After Arguing with a Woman at TPY Coffee Shop
What started out as a dispute in a coffee shop swiftly turned sour when a man decided to walk out mid-argument, go back to his home, retrieve a kitchen knife and return.
All in the span of a relatively short period of time.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 2:20 pm on 21 August 2021, at a coffee shop in Toa Payoh.
Apparently, the suspect had clashed with a woman, and things got heated.
After a beer mug shattered, the latter reportedly pushed the suspect onto the floor.
This led to the suspect saying: “You wait.”
Shortly afterwards, the man returned with a kitchen knife, and took off his clothes.
He then made a scene.
Thankfully, the public intervened and the suspect was taken down before any mishap could occur.
The police also arrived at the scene.
When questioned, the police stated that a 61-year-old man was arrested for the possession of dangerous weapons, and that no one was injured. The police also recovered a kitchen knife.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
Prior Instance
Unfortunately, such instances of mixed-gender brawls aren’t exactly non-existent here.
Back in August last year, a fight between a 37-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman went viral on the internet.
They were brawling at the roadside, and the fight even involved the likes of traffic cones and flying kicks.
Thereafter, the Singapore Police Force revealed that they were alerted to the incident at 2:25am on 18 Aug 2020.
The incident reportedly took place at 6 Lorong 9 Geylang.
The perpetrators were later arrested.
