Trains, MRT Station & Buses Dressed Up So Prettily For Deepavali, They Became IG-Worthy

In Singapore, if you want to start an IG account and become an influencer, you’d be hampered by the lack of nice places to take pictures at.

That’s what my handsome colleague @notzhihao said.

By the way, if you like handsome dudes, you might want to follow him. He’s very poor thing leh, only 93 followers.

P.S: He might go topless if he can reach 10K followers. P.P.S: He got nice abs.

Well, if you feel the same way he does, there’s a nice little trick to getting nice Instagram photos for your account.

One, you can visit Instagram-worthy places like Wheelers Yard and take four-hours worth of photos.

Then spread it out and post on different days.

Or two, keep an eye out for special occasions in Singapore where you can take IG #OOTDs that’ll net you thousands of likes.

Like the dress up of buses, trains and MRT station for Deepavali.

This year, Deepavali falls on 6 Nov 2018.

If you happen to be near Little India train station, you might want to pop by and take a (few dozens) #OOTDs there.

I mean, look at what the station is transformed into.

Just go during off-peak hours and have an empty station all to yourself. The underground walkways out of the station are filled with colourful designs too.

And it’s not just train stations.

Trains are pretty good places to take nice pictures too, and not just for STOMP submissions.

Two Deepavali-themed trains will start ferrying passengers across Singapore from now until 9 Nov.

One of the trains will be running along the Northeast Line (NEL) while the other will service passengers along the Downtown Line (DTL).

Even if you’re squeezed into a corner, there’s still something to take a picture with.

In other words, getting a ride on these Deepavali trains is so rare you have to buy 4D if you’ve managed to successfully get onto one.

Buses Are Also Decked Out in Deepavali Colours

According to Channel Newsasia, five bus services: 23, 64, 65, 147 and 166, will also be decked out in Deepavali colours.

The Boon Lay Integrated Transport Hub will also feature Deepavali designs as well.

If you’re not shy about taking pictures in public, you can lie down and take a top-down photo. Just make sure not to do it during peak hours uh.

Or your picture will be taken, just for a totally different purpose.

Just saying.
