Consultation
Before I could start on any treatment, I was first taken into a consultation room where one of their clinical staff handed me a declaration form to fill up.
It had many questions pertaining to:
- Diet
- Medical History
- Allergies
- Hair Condition
- Types of Shampoos and Conditioners Used
Yes, if you can’t tell, everything above affects the state of your hair.
Once I finished answering the questions, the certified consultant started advising me on what I can do (by myself) for a better scalp based on my answers.
Before we moved on to the main process of the hair treatment, they did a scan of my scalp, not just to see the condition, but also to customise the right treatment for it.
Honestly, I always thought my hair was pretty healthy, considering the fact that I don’t dye it or style it often.
But boy was I wrong.
Their Tricho-Scan Scalp Analysis allowed them to magnify my scalp up to two hundred times and the moment the images of my scalp showed up, I was practically begging them to save my hair.
I had clogged hair follicles and even red bumps due to improper care of my scalp.

I was recommended the TriOxy treatment for my scalp, and it consists of three simple steps:
- OxyPeel
- OxyJet
- OxyNutrient
This treatment helps to exfoliate (read: scrub) the surface of your scalp and remove any dirt that is clogging up your hair follicles.
Now I know what you’re thinking, what on earth are those foreign terms?
Don’t worry, because I’ll take you through each step, just like how my consultant did for me.
TriOxy Treatment
We moved to a hairdressing area from the consultation room and instantly, my ears were filled with some really relaxing music. I was also given a silky robe to wear so that nothing will accidentally get on my clothes.
I started off with the OxyPeel, in which Glycolic (AHA) and Salicylic Acid (BHA) are used to clean the scalp. This helps to minimize dandruff and flakes, and prevent follicle ducts from being clogged up.
Their OxySpray is used to speed up the peeling process because it kills off all the dead skin cells on the scalp. It felt very cooling and smelled a little of herbs.
My consultant then massaged my scalp just to ensure that every inch was covered.
I was left to my own devices for about 20 minutes before being ushered to their washing area.
And I’m pretty sure this is everyone’s favourite part – washing and massaging.
A customised premium European herbal scalp masque was used to detox the scalp and remove any impurities and excess sebum.
Then, it was followed by a very refreshing hair bath which helps the scalp to restore its sebum balance. So refreshing that even if it doesn’t help my scalp, I’ll probably pay for it anyway.
After my hair was semi-dry, she used an ampoule that promotes hair growth and OxyJet to make sure that the ampoule is absorbed into your hair follicles.
Now this felt a little weird because the machine was just pulsating against my scalp, but don’t worry, it didn’t hurt. Plus, that’s how you know the ampoule was definitely being absorbed.
Next, the OxyNutrient step provided my hair and scalp with the necessary nutrients and also boosted the hydration to my scalp.
And the final step of all, the Photodynamic Therapy. My consultant placed a scary-looking contraption above my head and I was told to wait for about 10 minutes.
Just a note: this is slightly hot.

And with that, they brought me back into the same consultation room that I was in at the beginning and did one more scan of my scalp.
Results
I’ll say there’s a big difference but you know what?
I’ll abandon what’s left of my dignity and just show you the pictures to decide for yourself.
