A 52-year-old motorcyclist died in a horrific accident on Kranji Expressway (KJE) this Wednesday morning at around 7am.
The crash happened near the Senja Road exit towards Choa Chu Kang. Dashboard camera footage showed heavy traffic during the morning rush hour when the incident occurred.
What Happened
The footage captured several motorcycles filtering between a container truck in the left lane and a lorry in the right lane.
A Malaysia-registered motorcycle attempted the same maneuver when the lorry suddenly shifted left, hitting the bike.
The impact knocked the motorcyclist off balance. He fell under the container truck and was run over by its rear wheels.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics.
Police arrested the 24-year-old lorry driver for causing death by negligent driving. Investigations are ongoing.
