Trump Called Coronavirus as ‘China Virus’ Again As His Personal Lawyer Got Infected, Too

Trump hasn’t had a good relationship with Covid-19.

It got him ridiculed by his predecessor, made him an indirect killer of a man and crowned him the king of misinformation in Covid-19 news.

Yet, it might just be the latest development that broke the final straw.

Trump Called Coronavirus as ‘China Virus’ Again As His Personal Lawyer Got Infected, Too

On 6 Dec 2020, US President Donald Trump tweeted that his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, has contracted Covid-19.

“@RudyGiuliani, by far the greatest mayor in the history of NYC, and who has been working tirelessly exposing the most corrupt election (by far!) in the history of the USA, has tested positive for the China Virus.”

Yes, if you noticed, dear President Trump has, once again, called it the “China Virus”, a name which drew much backlash from the world, especially the Chinese authorities.

Back when the American rhetoric was to throw the blame at China’s feet, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry spoke about how the US was being hypocritical considering that H1N1, which took the world by storm, originated from America.

Meeting With Lawmakers

Now, what made it worse was what Giuliani was doing prior to the detection.

According to reports, he had been meeting with various lawmakers in three different states to overturn Trump’s defeat to Joe Biden via a series of lawsuits.

He had visited Arizona on Monday, followed by Michigan on Wednesday and Georgia on Thursday.

Both he and Trump claims that the presidential elections 2020 is the largest election fraud despite there being no evidence.

No Symptoms; No Signs Of Infection

In a statement, Trump’s administration claims that Guiliani did not display any symptoms, nor did he test positive in the two Covid-19 tests prior to his departure to Michigan, Georgia and Arizona.

It was added that according to CDC guidelines, “no legislators in any states or members of the press” are classified as close contacts of Giuliani.

Meanwhile, those who had close contact with Giuliani, including other members of the legal team, will follow guidelines for self-isolation and testing.

Giuliani has used his Twitter account to assure followers and friends that he is doing well.

“I’m getting great care and feeling good. Recovering quickly and keeping up with everything.”

Previously, Trump and his administration made light of Covid-19 but after the president himself came down with the infectious virus, the White House started to take the coronavirus more seriously.

It was additionally reported that they might’ve been depending on a rapid Covid-19 test kit that was not reliable.

One thing for sure, though, you’ll definitely be hearing more from Trump, either in the coming days, or in 2024 where he has hinted that he’ll be back.
