A Taiwanese food establishment owner in Taipei became an internet sensation after a heated exchange with a customer over his dedication to K-pop girl group TWICE.

The owner was caught on camera in a fierce argument with an older customer who had complained about him singing TWICE songs while working. The confrontation escalated when the owner passionately defended his right to express his fandom.

“Can’t I love Tzuyu? Am I not allowed to listen to Tzuyu’s song?” the owner yelled during the dispute.

The exchange was filmed and originally posted on TikTok, where it quickly gained traction.

The video’s popularity reached such heights that it eventually appeared on national news in Taiwan. The food vendor appeared on the broadcast and once again stood by his decision to play TWICE’s music at his establishment.
