The duo allegedly entered the hotel room and used pieces of clothing to restrain the 38-year-old woman, binding her hands and legs shortly before 7 pm on 26 Apr 2025.
Court documents revealed that both men physically assaulted the victim, slapping her face multiple times during the ordeal.
After immobilising the woman, the attackers reportedly ransacked the room and fled with numerous personal belongings.
The stolen items included the victim’s passport, multiple bank cards, two mobile phones, a wallet containing identification documents, a gold chain, a pair of gold earrings, and $2,000 in cash.
The woman, whose identity has been withheld for privacy reasons, sustained minor injuries during the attack.
She managed to free herself after the assailants departed and immediately alerted hotel staff, who contacted the police.
Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest Within Four Hours
Police officers were alerted to the case at around 9 pm on 26 Apr 2025, approximately two hours after the incident occurred.
With the aid of extensive police camera networks and CCTV footage from the hotel and surrounding buildings, officers from the Central Police Division quickly established the suspects’ identities.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) reiterated its zero-tolerance stance towards violent crime in their statement, emphasising that authorities will “spare no effort to apprehend such offenders and deal with them in accordance with the law.”
For committing robbery with hurt under Singapore’s Penal Code, the offenders can be jailed for between five and 20 years, and receive at least 12 strokes of the cane if convicted.
