A resident in Ang Mo Kio has raised serious concerns about two female neighbours whose strange behaviour has been disturbing the peace in their shared living space.
According to reports, they not only block the common corridor with potted plants and miscellaneous items but also regularly splash water across the floor, shout abusive language at passersby, and have recently escalated to waving underwear in the corridor as a form of “protest” against their neighbours.
Ongoing Harassment and Strange Behaviour
A reader of Shin Min Daily News, Vincent (name transliterated from Mandarin), 40, has reached out with details about the troubling situation at Block 512 in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.

He described how the female neighbours exhibit increasingly erratic behaviour that has left residents feeling uncomfortable and concerned for their safety.
Vincent explained the progression of the harassment: “Previously, when we passed by their door, they would suddenly shout for no apparent reason, as if trying to frighten us. Initially, we tried not to make a big deal out of these incidents. However, in recent weeks, their behaviour has become increasingly bizarre and unpredictable, which has led me to develop genuine concerns about my family’s safety and well-being.”
The situation has grown more problematic as Vincent observed that the neighbour’s family has placed numerous items throughout the shared corridor space, including large potted plants, clothes racks, and various household objects.
These obstructions have significantly narrowed the walkway, creating difficulties for residents attempting to move through the common area.
Adding to this inconvenience, Vincent noted that the neighbour often deliberately positions herself in the corridor, appearing to intentionally block others from passing through.
The most recent and disturbing development involves the woman using underwear as props in what residents describe as provocative “dancing” performances directed at specific units, creating an uncomfortable living environment for everyone in the vicinity.
Years of Tension Without Resolution
When questioned about any potential underlying disputes that might explain this behaviour, Vincent firmly stated that the provocations have consistently come from the neighbour.
He emphasized that neither he nor his family members has ever retaliated against these actions, instead choosing to ignore the disruptions in hopes of maintaining peace.

This one-sided nature of the conflict has left Vincent puzzled about the motivations behind the two sisters’ persistent hostility.
Another resident from the same floor, who requested anonymity due to fear of further confrontation, shared additional context with reporters.
She noted that their floor contains five separate units, and the residents have lived alongside each other for more than 40 years.
Despite this long history of proximity, she revealed that she has never once engaged in conversation or even exchanged greetings with the sisters.
“They frequently direct verbal abuse at people passing by their unit, and the language they use is consistently offensive and inappropriate for a shared living space,” she revealed.

The anonymous resident also disclosed that the situation reached a breaking point last month when the town council finally intervened, issuing an official notice that required the sisters to remove their belongings from the corridor to prevent obstruction of the common passageway.
However, rather than complying peacefully, the sisters interpreted this notice as the result of neighbour complaints, which triggered several days of continuous verbal abuse directed at nearby residents before they eventually quieted down.
