If there’s something to look forward to in the middle of every year, it’s the Great Singapore Sale.
It doesn’t really matter what you buy: when the GSS starts, you just buy. Anything.
The Great Singapore Sale this year officially starts from 8 June 2018 and would end on 12 August 2018, but that’s just a formality: businesses can start anytime they want.
And Uniqlo did just that. In fact, they even have offers that ends before the start of the Great Singapore Sale.
Known as the Unqlo Great Singapore Sale (what a creative name!), there are savings for over 150 items.
For example, this.
…or this…
…or maybe, this.
Of course, there are many more. To be precise, over 150 items.
These promotions will only be until 29 May 2018, so you’ll have to be fast-hand-fast-leg. You can order online here.
But that’s not all
What better way to get more sales than a lucky draw, right?
From now until 17 June 2018, shoppers would stand a chance to win a $200 Uniqlo gift card with purchase of $20 in a single receipt.
For shoppers in their outlets, simply scan the Uniqlo app (wait, you’ve downloaded the Goody Feed app and not the Uniqlo app? Okay, that’s fine actually) at the cashier after your payment.
For online shoppers, you’ll get to “spin” after the online checkout.
In other words, as long as you spend $20, whether online or offline, you stand a chance.
The Number of Outlets is Just too Damn High
If you’re like me who still lives in 2010 and thinks that there are just a few Uniqlo outlets in Singapore, you’re in for a shock.
Currently, there are 26 outlets in Singapore. Yeah, 26. To think that I thought wearing Uniqlo is unique (it’s now mainstream instead).

And remember, they only opened their first outlet in Singapore in 2009 #ImpressiveGrowth
In fact, now is the best-est time to get something from there, because of this:
Doraemon graphic T-shirts! It doesn’t matter whether you’re young or just young at heart: this new collection is lit.
Or if you prefer something else that’s kawaii as well, here’s another choice:
However, do note that these cutey designs might not be part of the GSS sale, though you can still stand a chance to win the gift vouchers.
The Japanese casual wear retailer has over 1,920 outlets throughout the world. Just in Malaysia, there are well over 40 outlets, and they entered the Malaysia market in 2010 (one year after Singapore).
The clothing giant sets a goal of achieving USD$62.2 billion worth of annual sales in 2020.
Interestingly enough, the company back then had wanted to name Uniqlo as Uni-Clo, which stands for “Unique Clothing”. Apparently, the staff who’s in charge of registration sees the “c” as “q”, and the rest is history.
Personally, Uniqlo sounds much better, because anything with “Q” is cool, no?
Come back tomorrow to the Goody Feed app for a new deal!
