As if there aren’t enough reasons to dislike your manager, there might just be another reason you can add to the list – voyeurism without consent.
This includes filming or taking pictures of upskirt photos of colleagues or random ladies on the street.
You’d think this kind of behaviour is only restricted to the uncouth… but no, men in positions of authority and of various professions do them too.

Manager Secretly Filmed Up a Colleague’s Skirt 17 Times in 2 Months
The 43-year-old man who is the victim’s manager at that time was accused of taking upskirt photos and videos of his colleague, a 41-year-old female, 17 times in 2 months.
He faces two charges of voyeurism without consent.
The victim and the accused have a pretty good relationship as they will always go out to have lunch together.
On 8 July 2020, after having lunch at Bukit Purmei and as they were heading back to the office, a Good Samaritan called out to the victim, telling her that the accused is trying to take an upskirt photo of her.
At first, the victim doesn’t believe that the accused would do that, so she asked to check his phone.
Unfortunately for the voyeur, the proof is there, as plain as day.
So, the accused quickly pivoted, lying that he accidentally pressed the camera function on his phone.

He promptly deleted the photo on the spot.
The victim believed the accused and didn’t call the police.
However, after talking to her friend about it, the victim decided to report the incident to the cops the next day.
The accused was arrested that same day.
Guilty as Charged
Feeling guilty that she might have wrongly accused a good man over an “accidental” photo, the victim ended up feeling anxious and had insomnia.

She even tried doing a re-enactment of the situation with her husband, trying to check and see if the manager could really take a bottom of her skirt “accidentally” the way he did.
During the course of the investigation, however, the accused finally admitted to secretly filming up the victim’s skirt.
He did it not only once, or twice, but a whopping 17 times on different occasions within the span of two months.
Not only that, he has secretly taken upskirt photos of several other women on the MRT and in other places too.
He even went as far as to place his mobile phone in a trash can by the office desk, in hopes of getting some “quality” recordings.

The accused confessed that he couldn’t help himself but to take those upskirt pictures and videos of women whom he thought were sexy.
The judge took into consideration that the accused admitted to his crime and had cooperated with the investigation, and sentenced him to 12 weeks in jail.
