A 35-year-old van driver died after his vehicle collided with a tipper truck along Seletar West Link on 6 Jul 2025.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the accident at about 10:05am.
The collision occurred along Seletar West Link, near Yishun Avenue 1.
According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the accident took place after the Tampines Expressway, in the direction of Seletar Aerospace Drive.
Emergency Response and Scene Details
An SCDF paramedic pronounced the van driver dead at the scene. Emergency vehicles occupied the leftmost lane of the road following the collision.
Images from the scene showed multiple police vehicles and tipper trucks lined up along the road. A grey van was positioned behind one of the tipper trucks and appeared to have collided with it.
A blue police tent was erected in the middle of the road next to the van. The van’s doors and rear hatch were open, with its contents placed on the road surface. A police officer was stationed next to the vehicle.
Road Closure and Traffic Impact from Seletar West Link Fatal Crash
The accident resulted in the closure of two lanes on Seletar West Link. The far-left lane leading towards Yishun Avenue 1 remained accessible to traffic.
At 1:03pm, approximately three hours after the collision, part of Seletar West Link remained closed off. The road blockage caused significant traffic tailback in the area.
The LTA posted updates about the accident on X at 10:21am, informing motorists of the incident location and direction.
Police investigations into the fatal accident are ongoing.
